據在下的觀察, 除了那兩張可摺的坐椅外, 新巴都普躉的坐椅都是


闊位來的. 所以其實都普躉的坐椅是不窄的, 特別是連樓下的坐椅


都係闊位, 相對於山寨躉的樓下坐椅幾乎全是窄位來相比, 都普在


此方面是好得多的.





當然, 在下亦明白, 本身新巴都普躉的坐椅的設計並不討好, 坐就去


不覺是很舒服的. 若閣下有試過九巴的都普躉的話, 相信閣下會覺得


都普躉在乘坐舒適性上是並不差的.

其實只要將個身向下移,貼盡椅背曲位以上o既位,背脊貼實,


對腳伸直,都算坐得唔算太辛苦。不過,petpet一樣受罪……





由出馬鞍山到入東隧我不停咁換坐姿,我諗同車乘客實以為我


發神經……始終都係覺得亞記躉好坐好多。





另外,尋日終於換o左新家屬証,張新証最大特色在於係一張同


員工証差唔多o既証,用數碼相代替貼証件相。好型啊!^_^

行車時叉池燈間中亮,冇迫力燈


雖然佢係兩尾返黎泡車,但由於今日多車做,要到下午3點至做,架車原為

KMB Conutless Mistakes

I found there are contless mistakes done by KMB.





HKUST Bus Service





KMB made lots of mistakes for HKUST bus service.





(1) There are not many passengers taking 298 from HKUST to Lam Tin, but many people take the route from Hang Hau or Metro City to Lam Tin, so KMB should reduce the frequency of 298 to HKUST while maintaining the frequency of the route to Hang Hau. This can reduce the number of ADS used, thus making them can use on 91, 91M. But KMB does not do so, so this wastes a lot of ADS & money.





(2) Hang Hau Raod can accpet 11m buses, as seen from 11m buses running on 91M safely, and certainly for short trips to HKUST only, but KMB refuses to allocate 11m buses to any 91M service, including the short trip, making there is a waste of ADS, and instead KMB allocates BL to run, with extremely slow speed of 2km/h from HKUST to Pik Uk.





(3) KMB refuses to set up sectional fare of 91 from HKUST to Diamond Hill, forcing people to take the already congested 91M, making great loss to 91 & HKUST traffic very bad.





(4) KMB refuese to allocate only 11m buses on 92, even it is totally safe. This again causes waste of ADS & very slow trips by the Ducks (it would be faster with 11m hotdogs instead of Ducks).





So the poorly operated, losing KMB 91 should be cut to Citybus 291 (also combined with 628 except Kowloon Tong & Sha Tin service) for cheaper sectional fare ($4.5 between Diamond Hill & HKUST) and hence reducing the stress on 91M (as nowadays very few people take expensive 91, especially for coldhorses with fare of $6.5) while 91M should be cut to NWFB 291A.





Routes with very few passengers





But it is common for KMB to allocate large, powerful buses to routes with very few passegners. This is another great mistake of KMB.





(5) KMB, however, allocates only 11m buses for 12 & 87 with extremely few passengers (no more than 30 passengers even at peak times, so these routes should be operated with Mitsubishi MK!!), and the buses should be allocated to 91M & 92 for faster trip & for getting rid of slow Ducks & BL on the routes.





(6) 87A & 87B, with routing similar to 87 with different destination in Sha Tin side, are also routes with few passengers, but KMB still allocates only 11m buses and they should use BL or Metrobus 9.7m (these routes have passenger amount far fewer than 91M & 92).





(7) KMB 53, a route that goes through the whole Castle Peak Road, uses Metrobus 9.7m, and is far too large (sometimes Turbo M with 280bhp are used!! They should be allocated to 91 & 91M). It is operating at frequency of 1 hour & is not convenient. So it should be operated with Mitsubishi MK or Darts at frequency of 20-30 minutes.





Nathan Soprring Route, B1





The poor performance of the route made Kowloon a bad place for tourists.





(8) This route uses Mitsubishi MK (even Toyota Coasters in the past!) to run, with narrow corridors, doors & high floors, making the shoppers very inconvenient. This route should use Darts from old Airport bus service for easier access.





AC route fares of 203 & 208





(9) KMB 203 & 208 are 'old' urban AC routes with extremely high fare of $7, more expeisive than MTR, and making very few passengers taking them. Their fare must be reduced to make them more attractive.





2C & 203





(10) KMB 2C is a full hotdog route with poor routing & very few passengers, while 203 is a route with extremely high fare of $7, more expensive than MTR. So they should be combined into one circular route and uses Dart/B6 at frequency of 15-20 minutes at least & fare of $4.





914 & 917





(11) Both 914 & 917 are poorly planned, with low frequency & bad service. So they should be combined into 1 route. Also, KMB uses ADS on 917 with few passegners, making there is hortage of ADS & forces 5C, 8 uses Ducks. So 917 should use Lance from old Airport service and combine with 914.





113





(12) KMB allocates a lot of ADS on 113 at frequency of 5 minutes, and not many passegners. This is a gereat mistake, causes severs shortage of ADS & wastes money. So the route should be run with AV, like NWFB using 12m buses, and at frequency of 10 minutes.





680 & other Tate's Cairn Tunnel Routes





Tate's Cairn Tunnel is HK's most polluted tunnel, and passengers suffered the worst air in HK. So KMB made all routes via the tunnel full AC except 680.





(13) KMB 680 is the worst performed XHT route, with a lot of hotdogs running on it, forcing passengers breathe in worst tunnel air. Surprisingly all other Tate's Cairn Tunnel route are full AC! Not only this, KMb allocted Ducks to 680, with extremely low seating capacity & slow speed!!





(14) All Tate's Cairn Tunnel routes have ultra expensive sectioal fare after the tunnel to Kowloon, no less than $5. 84M is the worst case, with full fare of $5.2 & setional fare from Tate's Cairn Tunnel to Lok Fu of $5.1, nonsense & man eating!





368 & 369





(15) KMB didn't cancel 368 (from Yuen Long) & 369 (from Tin Shui Estate) to Central via NT Circular Highway, Tolo Highway, Tate's Cairn Tunnel, EHC & IEC, with travelling time of at least 2 hours long, after the completion of Route 3. This causes a great loss to KMB & waste of buses as nobody take such long trip from NW NT to Central when faster ways of 968 & 969 are available.





Intention to keep the Ducks until 2007





(16) I can see KMB has the intention to keep the Ducks until 2007, as I saw there was a Duck fitted with Octopus running on 91M! This means the Ducks can certainly pass through the whole Year 2000 and they are very likely to remain in 2007, when KMB's franchise is discontinued! (Best news for front engine fans like lv123 but worst news for most HK people!)





(17) KMB also said there are not any suitable bus other than Ducks to run on 8, even 12m buses can go from Hung Hom KCR to Whampoa safely. Moreover, KMB can allocates the ADS better by not allocating them on 91M & 92 & 917 (as I said above) and hence running on 8. This shows KMB has the intention to provide full Duck service until 2007, KMB's death, on some routes!





Blood-drinking sectional fares of long routes





KMB is absoultely a man-eating & human blood drinking wild animal, as seen from high sectional fares of long routes & XHT routes, and certainly holiday routes. Its fare system is the unfairest in the world!!





(18) KMB 1 has full fare of $3.5/$4.7, but the sectional fare from Lok Fu to Chuk Yuen Estate is $3.0/$4.7, that is, no sectional fare from Lok Fu for AC buses. This is totally man-eating for such short trip!!





(19) KMB 2 & 6 have full fare of $3.0/$4.3, but they have sectional fare of $3.0/$4.2, that is, there is just a fall of $0.1 for AC sectional fare, and is useless as the drop is too small. This case is also found in 84M.





(20) KMB 3B has full fare of $3.5/$4.6, but the sectional fare from Hung Hom Ming On Street to Hung Hom Ferry Pier of $4.3/$3.0, ans is very man-eating as the distance from Ming On Street to the Pier is less than 1km away.





(21) KMB 3C has the full fare of $3.5/$4.7, sectional fare from Argyle Street to Tsz Wan Shan of $3.5/$4.4, and sectional fare from Wong Tai Sin to Tsz Wan Shan of $3.0/$4.3, that is, there is only 10 cents fare decrease for AC service to Tsz Wan Shan after Wong Tai Sin. The fare is totally repelling!





(22) KMB 84M had the full fare of $4.3/$6.1 (now $5.2 full AC), and sectional fare from Diamond Hill to Lok Fu of $3.6/$4.7 (but now $5.1, more expensive than before!!). This is again totally man-eating & ridiculous!!





Man-eating XHT Fare poilcy





The fare of KMB XHT routes are very man-eating:





(23) 170 has sectioal fare from Kowloon Tong to Wah Fu of $13.2, while other routes are just $10.6, ultra man-eating. The sectional fare from Causewa Bay & from Ocean Park to Wah Fu are $7.7/$5.0, and are also man-eating. These fares should be reduced for fairer fare & higher competitivity.





(24) 108 is a KMB only route, but has sectional fare of $5.4 after XHT, on both sides. This makes the route extremely repelling. So the sectional fares should be reduced to $4 to make it more attractive.





(25) 171 has no sectional fare from Wanchai to Cheung Sha Wan, making it expensive ($10.6) & unattractive. So the fare should be lowered to $9.4 to make the fare the same as others.





Sky-high fare of holiday routes





The fare of KMB holiday routes are totally man-eating, as seen from examples of 91R & 96R.





(26) 91R (now cancelled) had the full fare of $9.6 (full hotdog), much more expensive than 91 ($4.7/$6.5), even the route is just 1km longer than 91. This is totally man-eating!





(27) KMB 96R has sectional fare from Sai Kung to Diamond Hill of $7.3/$9.8, much more expensive than 92. So the fare must dropped.





Centroliner Engines





(28) KMB fits Cumins M11 engine to Centroliner, which is extremely noisy & fuel comsuming (due to low compression ratio of just 10:1), but not Scanis engine which is fuel saving & quiet. KMB again made a mistake.





Buying Darts but not Volvo B6





(29) KMB buys the rubbish Dart with feeble engines & backward leaf suspension, but not B6 with more powerful engine & better suspension. What's worse is KMB fits super high floor DM bodies on the Dart, making them inaccessible.





Buying of rubbish 3AD





(30) KMB buys the rubbsih 3AD with very slow yet noisy Cummins M11 engine & high floor. So this bus is critized as the worst double decker AC bus in HK!!





Please continue to discuss the mistakes taken by KMB.





So I want KMB die in 2007 with nobody thinking of it, just like what people did with CMB! And I want there are other companies to operate Kowloon & NT routes before the end of KMB's franchise, just like the TD cutting CMB's 47, 45, 41 & 3 to Citybus in 1997, so we do not need to suffer the worst service of KMB & 20 years old, slow, inaccessible & polluting hotdogs!





We cannot suffer the worst service of KMB anymore! Let other companies to operate Kowloon & NT routes, and throw KMB into historic rubbish bin!





291/291A Siu, who demands TD to cut expensive, poorly operated & heavily losing KMB 91 to Citybus 291 with cheap sectioal fares & faster buses, and 91M with slowest BL running on it at 2km/h from HKUST to Pik Uk to NWFB 291A with faster Super Olympian!

根據九巴附例,每個乘客可以囉一個不超過4.5公斤,好似的


小型行李登車,所以,你個31寸gip當然係乜車都唔得啦!





但有0的線係除外的,如64K, 76K, 77K, 94, 99,是可以囉


一個唔超過四十五公斤的大行李上車的。

I definately don;t think there is anything serious enough to get the driver into trouble in the case. May be the suit case is a bit too big and the time was in peak hour.


But I have to stress that one of the purpose of SLF bus in UK is to allow bigger stuff to be put onto the vehicle by passengers. So all the new SLF buses have fold down seat in the front which allow buggies, wheelchair and baggages to be put on. Also London long wheelbase Dart has a big rack anyway.

The time was about 10:30 p.m. and there were not many

That's why I chose the off-peak hour and skipped the


'tiger-head' intentionally in order to get on the Dart

呢架車既車身曾經被焚毀, 結果九記將呢架車運上大陸穗景重新裝個新車身,


於是就有個咁既樣囉! 前車牌DR 889, 重新登記後車牌 GP 7528.


此車的特點是全車坐位均是獨立的, 好似冷馬咁. 大部份扶手均是黃色的,


及內置廣播系統. (廣播系統已被廢了武功)


由於這個穗景車身不能在落車門位置裝上鏡子及不能安裝潛望鏡, 所以


九記特別為這架車安裝閉路電視, 用來觀察上層及落車門.


不過, 此車車頭的目的地顯示牌較窄, 英文字唔可以全部顯示.


此車通常會於87B 線出現, 而且本月很少攝47x,85K. (不過唔係87B掛牌)





試過在S3BL174 攪牌的 HB 916

I totally agree. I think i am even a bit 偏激, i would not choose CTB at all, if i am going to Chai Wan from Central,


go Wan Chai and take 8P, to Tin Shui Wai from Causeway Bay,


968 and Tai Lam Interchange, from Mong Kok to my home in Taikoo Shing, well, i used to take only 102, but now, either KMB 102 or MTR.





I just can't trust CTB's drivers.
