I think arrival is because technically, it represents the last CMBus in service.





In that case, which route will provide the last? A Tunnel route like 970?

第三愚:人地城記同九記(化名龍記)踩地盤踩到過晒界,愚


記真係愚蠢到唔識還以顏色,唔去申請開E線同S線(E線就未


必得,但係S線就實得啦掛!),不過就算開左都唔會多人坐,


因為分左假日同平日收費.而假日同平日的收費安排又係愚


巴死穴,雖然大家都知咁做係因為平日差唔多無人坐愚巴.


第四愚:愚巴唔肯改傳動系統,由始至今除左雞車外就好少


用過全自動波的車.好似愚鏢咁都係用棍波,話係因為波箱


唔受得咁大馬力.就算真係馬力較大,好似B6咁用ZF波箱唔


得咩?(話時話愚巴的Be_z同單層豪係用棍波定全自動波呀

從以上'四愚'分析,可歸納出三個結論:由第一愚來看,顯


示出愚巴的財政......(唔使講掛)由第二同第三愚來看,


愚巴的地盤在可見的將來可能會被城記同龍記分左去.而


由第四愚來看,愚巴用車實在極為不當.


同上三篇一樣,無論各板友同唔同意都請積極回應啦!

There's no doubt that CMB has been very innovative in the past, especially in the 1970s and the early 1980s with the introduction of the Daimler Fleetlines (LF and SF), MCW Metrobus (MB and MC) and ML1 - the first 3-axle franchised bus in Hong Kong. However, after the opening of MTR's Island Line, it seems that CMB has become less interested in bus operations, with almost no new buses being purchased between 1984 and 1988. At that time, my parents have started to feel doubted about the future of this company.





CMB's strike in 1989 has created a serious effect on the public image of the company. The effects on the commuters (especially for those living in the Southern District) were serious. But more importantly, I suppose nobody would like to have a bus company that may have a strike at any time. They simply began to lose their confidence towards CMB. In addition, while many bus fans may love the aging fleet very much (including some of you, perhaps), the public simply couldn't cope with that. This can be proved with the introduction of CTB's Network 26 (which actually consists of 28 routes at that time) in 1993. Just have a look at the passenger demand for route 5B before and after the 1993 route handover, and you can clearly see the facts.





Some people may say that the introduction of CMB's air-conditioned buses in the early 1990s is an evidence of CMB's incentive to improve its services. Well, that's true. (In fact, I was delighted to see the experimental livery scheme, which took place during the time when LA6 -15 were put into service.) However, if you take a closer look at the growth of the air-conditioned fleet in the three main franchised bus operators in Hong Kong in the past few years, we can see that CMB's rate is relatively slow when compared with the other two companies, Citybus and KMB. As air-conditioned buses have become more popular for the general public, (whether you like it or not,) people may consider CMB as a less innovative bus company. This may even worsen the public image of the company, which has already become bad enough after the 1989 strike.





In my personal point of view, the reason for CMB to lose its franchise can be quite simple - it just can't cope with the demand for a higher standard of bus service from the general public. This can be proved by some of the interviews done by the media recently. (Perhaps the exceptional cases are those interviews done to certain bus enthusiasts.) Therefore, to conclude my essay, I would like to see the remaining bus operators in Hong Kong, especially New World First Bus and Citybus, which will take over the CMB routes (minus the ones which will be cancelled) tomorrow, to learn the lesson from CMB's experience, and not to commit the same mistakes again.

(部車在小西灣時懷疑有人影低左我個樣.)

再坐4到華富,42到香隧(因原意唔想坐城記車.),73(城記)到赤


柱(最後因為太耐等唔到中記車65同63),最後坐14返西灣何.


中記距離結束仲有7個鐘.

依家D九宮格/二十宮格其實都唔多好, 一日未貼滿, 新線都係貼空位,


一樣冇次序. 以城記作風頻頻開線, 冇乜邊個站牌number係順序o既.
