I came across your site while searching for details of surviving Albions in Hong Kong.
The 8 pictures of Albions at http://www.kmb1933.com/albion.htm are very
interesting and I would ask for your permission
to reproduce these photographs in a short article that I am writing for the Albion Club magazine. If you give permission I would of course credit the source
of the photographs as being from your website.
I did notice, however, that the gearboxes were wrongly described as Leyland gearboxes. I hope that you don't mind my pointing this out, but
the gearboxes are definitely Albion gearboxes and not Leyland gearboxes.
All of the gearboxes mentioned were designed and
manufactured at the Albion works at Scotstoun,
Glasgow, and are always referred to as Albion
But the main purpose of this email is to request some help in tracking down more details of the preserved Vikings in Hong Kong for the Albion Register. I
believe there are three as follows:
1) Albion Viking EVK55CL with Union Auto Body
2) Albion Viking EVK55CL with Duple 'Dominant' MkII body.
3) Albion Viking (EVK55?) originally bought by China Motor Bus with Duple Dominant C26F body, 25feet long, new in 1974, possibly chassis number
We would like to obtain the chassis numbers of the
first two and perhaps confirmation of the third. And details of the present owners and past operators if possible. If you have any information that can help
or can put us in touch with someone who can we would be very grateful.
Read all about it! Look up www.albion-trust.org.uk and find out what the papers say about 'Albion of Scotstoun', the acclaimed book by the Albion Vehicle

happen!? I know that if that bridge opened, there is one road which link up the high way to Ma On Shan will be closed!!
> Do anyone know what's happen? Is there any arrgument between the people ant the transport department?

The two new bridge's entrance is cross over with the exit of Hang Shun street to Ma On Shan Road, TD plan to open the bridge but at the same time the exit
of Hang Shun Street will be closed. This lead all the bus via chevailer garden need to reroute to the road in Kam Tai Court, then go straight to the Chung
On Esatae, and back to Hang On Estate roundabout and back to originial route, Some of route will skip the A Kung Kok street when enter Ma On Shan, this
make cheaviler garden can not take the bus back to their home. TD has proposed use octoups to interchange in Tate's Crain Tunnel Toll Plaza, but Shatin
District Board reject this suggestion and don't allow TD to close the exit. Also Shatin DB has propsed to constuct the new bridge to solve this problem, but
the bridge hasn't design yet and need nearly 4 years to build, so Shatin DB want to open the new bridge and not close the exit in the mean time.
But in my opion, not close the exit will make the traffic accident easily, becuase the distance between exit and entrance is less than 400m, also the speed of
the road is 80km/h, can you imagine when the bus exit from cheaviler garden and back to ma on shan road, with the car not being lead the bus back to ma
on shan road and then crash, you will see there is a high risk to open new bridge without close the exit.
You have made a mistake.
I am sorry to tell you that there is a ATS/ASV from 234X every morning, normally it departs at 7:10-7:20.
The routes using 3AV is possible to alter to SLF buses?
What logic are you using?
Also it seems that you are not so familiar to the routes in Tsing Yi Island.
44M don't via Ching Hong Road, moreover,
the passenger demand is so low that a 10-15 minutes frequency is entirely capable of satisfying all of them.
So please think twice before press the POST button.
